Powerful Testimony

We received the following testimony from one of our partners in Africa about Mini Bible College:

“We were privileged to have 36 non-saved ones who attended MBC (Mini Bible College) with us and were able to receive Christ as Lord and Savior. We thank the Lord for this program. It is not only impacting biblical knowledge to the saved ones, it is also serving as a context in which men and women are receiving Christ.”

ICM provides solar powered audio players to our partners in the field with the Mini Bible College (MBC) fully loaded on them. MBC (www.minibiblecollege.org) is a comprehensive survey of the Bible and includes a series on Sermon on the Mount and Family and Marriage. Our partners use the audio players in small group settings similar to the picture below.

Sound Doctrine

In travelling throughout Africa, there is never much question about a hunger for the Word. However there are so many sources of teaching that do not provide congregations with sound doctrine. One of our partners who is using Mini Bible College (MBC) filed this report showing just how vital sound doctrine is and how destructive other teachings can be.

Five couples who were of elders from other churches are testifying that they have been misled by the wrong interpretation of Matthew 10:34 – 42 by saying that if you love your wife or son more than God you cannot be his disciple, therefore you cannot enter heaven. They proceed to say that the proof that you love God more than your wife, is when you see her in some else’s arms and you feel no hurt or no jealousy. Then you have reached the love of God.

So they exchange wives and any other things and call themselves the authentic Christians. After following our training since January they quit that church and joined us but they live under persecution from that church so much so they had to move out of the village. We are still fellowshipping with then and encouraging them to trust God as their protection.
